Golf MK1Gti 1979 Series 1
Hi
Finally I think Ive got to sell my beloved Mk1
Had it now for over 10 years and been garaged and been well looked after in its life
Want an agreed valuation for it so i know what its worth
Golf Mk1 1979 Series 1 Only 102k on the clock in very good condition
Ones went through the auctions high 20k but need to know whether mine is that good
Very rare I hear only 3 months where the 1600 4 speed box were sold in the UK
Is that true?
Any info would be very useful
Many thanks
Jon

Not sure without more pics and history; owners, originality (from the 1 pic the petrol cap is wrong and not sure about wheels), restored, work done etc
However it is at the more desirable and therefore valuable/expensive end of the MK1 market and the more original the more £.

Does your insurance need an independent valuation or will your own be okay?

I'm pretty sure that'll only be worth about 2 grand.
Give me a shout if you want it gone.

The one that sold for 27K last yeaar in auction had 50,000 miles on the clock and few owners. Also remember the seller doesnt get all the 27K. Having said the buyer has t pay more than 27! Also good ones are hard to find and restoring them is even harder and more expensive.
