Barn find mk1 golf cabrio

I have a mk1 golf cabrio with an aum engine (never started) . Was never completed when put into storage about 10 years ago. now i dont know what to do with it the wiring is a complete mess and i feel my best option is to buy a complete wiring loom and ecu and  start  from scratch anyone know if this is a possibility. Many thanks.

Dosnt sound too much of a problem depending on your skill level or if able to pay someone…
