Lion get slated in a mechanics forum I'm in. Bosch or Yuasa is what I'd choose

The last 2 Bosch batteries I've had have only just lasted a few months longer than there 4 year guarantee, I'm using a Yussa battery from GSF but can't say how long it will last as it's only been on the car for 9 months.
My mother had a Yussa battery on her Honda Civic which lasted over 10 years so fingers crossed mine last that long….
I'm using the one in the link for my daily drive 1988 GTi cabriolet with manual roof and manual windows and standard alternator.

If you can get a Costco card the after sales service is excellent if you have a problem, Bosch batteries and if they fails they will replace no quibbles. Good price too.

Go to your local TPS Vw and ask them for a Quantum battery
I think i paid about £40 for it with a bit of discount
Absolutely spot on batteries and decent guarantee
And still OE
