MK1 1.8T Bam conversion. Can anyone help my little mind :(

HI all,

I need a little help and I was hoping someone may have some answers/direction for me.

I have a BAM engine and want to put this into my MK1 cabriolet.

I have been trying to work out what gearbox I need and seem to have fallen on 02J as a solution.  There seem to be lots of other codes out there (eg ENJ, ECW etc) which are giving me a headache.  Is there a specific code that would work best in this instance and what do these codes mean??

Also which tower, gear linkage and shifter will I need to make this all work??

Sorry for all these questions.  I'm not great with motors and am getting a little swamped and confused.
