I know its all down to personal taste but just wana see what the general opinion is really.
Ive got a white clipper that is completely standard only two light scuffs on the bumpers. Everything else is pretty much mint. (Ive only just changed the tyres from the first set). Im only thinking about lowering it with a set of deep dish alloys. And maybe taking the bumper kit off.
What are your thoughts?

If you want make some small changes that will make it yours and not like all the rest, then why not.
But do it in a way that you can change it back again without incurring a lot of costs.
I like the standard look but to each their own!

Keep it standard!!! Modded cars can easily fall out of fashion.

I struggle with stock or modified all the time. So far I have managed to keep stock, and that is my intention. There are however a constant stream of temptations. My car is a 76 (American) MK1 with a Zenith 32/32 2b carb. I'm sure a webber conversion would be much better. Eventually a lack of parts will probably force me to a new carb. Then there are the steel stock wheels, those ATS Cups just look so good to me. Luckily I can't afford them. One day I will have her all restored to a mint condition. Then what will I do? perhaps then I will modify. In the mean time stock is the way for me. Hmm but what about one of those 1.8 turbo conversions,, Oh My!

Go the oem+ route. That's the way I'm doing my white clipper.
Going for some oem bbs wheels, lowered on coilies and a few other subtle mods.
Don't want it standard but at the same time don't want it chavtastic. Oh and I'm a Dad as are many other members I guess. We don't all have to start driving Volvos when we become parents!

Big question there, modded or standard, I've toiled with that question loads of times and ended up modding mine to my taste, it's your motor and you should mod it with parts that you like if you go that route, one thing I found that subtle is what works, sometimes I fancy something a bit more crazy and full on with a hugely powerful engine but I always find myself glad I went the route I did, few subtle mods, clean engine, lowered a bit with some BBS, that's enough for this one, maybe I'll build another one to satisfy cravings lol
