what’s everyone’s views and opinions on retrimed seats, I have dropped mine off, and have at the moment opted to retrim the full set front and rear in mk6 gti tartan for the centers where the black and white striped parts were. I am now worried about how it will look in contrast to the side bolster fabric.
Should I just go for the period tartan red. Or take the chance ?

Personally I would retrim in the reproduction original style material that is available, as far as I am aware the original Volkswagen seat material is obsolete.
The seats in my car which have the red stripe center
section were recently retrimmed and I was very pleased
with the result.
The resale value of the car may be affected if the choice is to personal.

i already called the trimmers today to tell him to keep it
OEM using the fabrics from heritage… seen the price of the head rests ?
