Rat-look Mk1 Golfs

Hi Guys,

So, I’m currently toying with the idea of making (or should I say keeping) my Mk1 nice & ratty looking…by that I mean I can’t afford to get my car the full respray it needs anytime soon! I won’t be making the paint any worse than it already is, I’ll just be justify it by saying it’s a rat .

Is there any other rat owners on here? Surely I'm not alone!  

My '78 LS is sporting the original 37 year old paint and interior but the rest was all upgraded - motor/gearbox/suspension/brakes etc…

LOL not the 2-door, this one, doesn't look bad at first but the paint def needs attention and a couple of dings accumulated in 37 years.




 

Torker That isn't bad at all! Mine is in such a state, the roof is one big dent! haha

my favorite rat mk1 has to be crazyquiffs 5 door 16v lol
