Raised strut mounts any body ?

I have managed to cobble together some parts and will be making myself some raised top mounts/ strut tops this week I have bought some cheap E36 camber plates to use the pillow ball and the centre section, obviously I won't get any camber adjustments as the dimensions in the mount top will be to tight I assume but it seems like quite a neat off the shelf solution for £35
 For the rest of the construction I'll be using 4mm stainless plate and some 2.5 mm think 100mm diameter tube.
I was just wondering if any body had use or indeed made any of these themselves and had they been used to good effect. Any input would be gratefully received as always.

Hello mate, how you getting on with removing that big box plate under the sill? Can you do it? Remember you saying you were going to remove it?

Yeah I still plan to do it just got a bit side tracked by trying to get the wheels right in the arches. I've got the steel and the plan formulated just need to get everything else sorted so I can get the car to work and set about it. I'll keep you posted

Not sure whats used.

They're the coltech classics ones.

Audi 80 top mount rubbers are used.

It's a similar set up to a mk1 polo.

I don't think I'm going into production any time soon they are taking to many hours after work lol I am going for a slightly different approach ( as always) nearly got all the parts made ready for welding

Nearly there had a spell in hospital for a bit of minor surgery and then some down time to recover but all good now. So have nearly finished making all the component parts for the mounts to be welded together. Going to do some tacking and testing just to make sure I don't upset the bonnet but then it's full steam ahead
