Mystery number on Rear Beam

Post

Hi,

This week I have moved rearwards and removed my rear axle beam. Yesterday I removed many years of underseal and road crud, prior to painting before re-installing.

I discovered the number painted on the beam as per the pic.

I'm very curious as it would seem to indicate the beam is about 15 years younger than the car….

other than accident damage - and there's no signs elsewhere - can anyone think of a reason why someone would have replaced a rear beam?

Any ideas out there??

Cheers

Peter

They can get bent when going OFF-ROAD, large Pot holes, or consistently Over loading the ride with Pachyderms.  :)

That could of been a yard part, and that is how the breaker denoted the sale date for warranty.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
