Hi All
My 1984 GTi cab currently has these wheels on. Not seen BBS wheels with this type of material for spokes before - they are almost like plastic spokes! They are stamped vw and bbs etc. are they original or m some sort of aftermarket rep?

Look like BBS RA wheels to me.
Probably been powder coated in the centres.

These were fitted to a Mk2 which I had, they were 'Fondmetel' an Italian maker. Pretty similar,
The centre could just be a BBS cover.
Can you see and casting detail??

You can see a VW and bbs logo moulding on the front by the wheel nuts. Perhaps Carl is right that they have been powdercoated in centre. Wasn’t sure if they were knock offs as the spokes feel quite plasticky! Not the best looking wheels but they’re ok!

Definitely BBS RA's in a non standard colour finish. RA's we're a standard fitment on mk1 Sportline's and various other VAG's of the era.

Great good to know. Might get them redone gloss black in the centre!
