Stating the obvious then of course there will naturally be more flex in the chassis from a cabby but do these strut braces help negate this? With these kind of mods will it bring the cabby more inline with how a tin top chassis handles?! Appreciate the cabby has more weight to start with.
I'm just intrigued..

Back again on this topic. I've just won a Einach upper strut brace on eBay which will hopefully reduce some scuttle shake. The cars also got an original K-bar fitted to the lower front.
First question: Are there any upgrades over the K-Bar?
Also, i've seen this: http://www.ultraracinguk.co.uk/ultra-racing-rear-strut-brace-re4978_p26386093.htm
Looks like a 4point brace for the boot of a cabby. I can't tell if this is worth while or not? Any thoughts?

rear brace im not sure if it'll add much, since the cab already has a massive lump of steel between the turrets

My car is a rivage 1.8 98hp( the engine is not stock) with factory forged 15" and k bar from factory, I have pollybush all around, very stiff ones( bug pack red), even on motor mounts and grarbox, my front top mounts are also very stiff(reinforced ring), I Run brand new semi slicks 195/50 on all 4 corners, -2 degrees of camber at front, koni sport all corners and eibach pro kit, after the installalation of the semi slicks the cars started to show his age noticeably, it was day and night difference.
I have this strut brace for a long time standing in the garage shelf, the quality is low, its the steel one with adjustment from TA technix I think, there is no brand on it, I bought it at epytec long time.
I was not expecting much about it because its not stiff enough, after the installation you can feel it flexing by hand, so it will not deliver the best result, this part should have proper angles and be hard as a rock, but I decided to give it a try today( I bought it in 2016), and even it is very low quality I was able to really feel a big difference, but not in handling, the handling is actually worst(more understeer), but the chassis now you can really feel the difference, specially on bad roads, feels like 20 years younger.
So, if you are looking for advice, my advice is to get one! but get the best One you can get, the design is very important, needs to be stiff and have the proper angles to act agains the forces, I am now going to make my own bar because it really works, the chassis feels more happy, less noise, way less flex, the handling issue that I dont like, for most people Will be perfect, trust me, most Will actually like it, it is caused by the springs and very short stroke, but when I installed the brace it made it more noticeable, I Will go back to the original springs and this issue will probably disappear, this springs, the eibach prokit, from day one, made the car look cool, but totally screwed the handling and agility, made the car understeer a lot compared to the original springs, I drive my car very hard, I abused it a lot, I bought it with the purpose of hill climb racing(classic street car/tourist), so sometimes I get very good surfaces, big bumps from tree roots, bad pavement, some jumps and holes, and yes, it is not the best car for that, but it is what it is.
