As my title is asking i'm interested to know of real world experience of people when at least using upper front and rear strut braces on their cabriolets.
Stating the obvious then of course there will naturally be more flex in the chassis from a cabby but do these strut braces help negate this? With these kind of mods will it bring the cabby more inline with how a tin top chassis handles?! Appreciate the cabby has more weight to start with.
I'm just intrigued..

What about lower? Will the standard K-Bar fitted to the later cabby's be enough or are upgrades available?

Hello Guys,
Back again on this topic. I've just won a Einach upper strut brace on eBay which will hopefully reduce some scuttle shake. The cars also got an original K-bar fitted to the lower front.
First question: Are there any upgrades over the K-Bar?
Also, i've seen this: http://www.ultraracinguk.co.uk/ultra-racing-rear-strut-brace-re4978_p26386093.htm
Looks like a 4point brace for the boot of a cabby. I can't tell if this is worth while or not? Any thoughts?

the k bar is the best design you can get, it not only ties in the lower wishbone bolts but back to roll bar fixings too. all i had on my cab was a cheap omp lower brace and it handled like it was on rails! didnt feel any of that scuttle shake people speak of at all
rear brace im not sure if it'll add much, since the cab already has a massive lump of steel between the turrets
