Hi,
does anyone one have any knowledge of front window conversion to electric as I have a lovely set of Audioscape door pods I would like to use
and have just realised I can't use manual winders.
i have been looking round and have come across universal kits. Are they rubbish and left well alone ? I also know of an electric life power window kit that I'm watching but it's going to be pricey even second hand.
anyone with any advice would be much appreciated.

Use VW only. I've fitted several sets of 'quality ' aftermarket sets and they are all poor in comparison to the genuine article. Get a set from a cabby and fit them. Make sure you get the full loom and switches.
I, personally wouldn't bother anything other than genuine VW items. Including switches.

electric life kit was what I had fitted in my MK1 gti years ago, in fact i think the lads in G&S feltham ordered the kit for me. Never had any issues with it. OEM stuff.
However as mentioned it maybe wise to see if you can grab the bits of a late cabby with EW's. Good Luck.
