Could someone help ID this dash undertray please

Hi,
Could someone help me recall what year car this is for, it must be 25 years since i took it out and i have a feeling they were unusual even back then but maybe not, my memory is not what it was. Part number is 532 857 924, i have googled it etc and searched here but with no luck unless I'm being daft.
Any help would be great.

The first 3 digits 532 identify this as a RHD Mk1 Scirocco part. It looks like a dashboard related part, with several other dashboard related parts having the 857 middle part, which might support this hypothesis

Now that you know it is off a Scirroco, may I suggest that you go to a Free ETKA site, and look up the body parts for your year of car and a Scirocco.

Thanks all for figuring that out. I think, as I recall that I pulled it out a mk1 Golf  at the local scrappy and had assumed wrongly it was a Golf part.
