Correct badge position.

I assume there is a specific and correct position for the GTI badge. Anyone know where it should be?  

I can move mine before I put it back on

Ive just checked my Haynes manual and it states:

"The grill GTI badge should be positioned just to the left of the Brown Suede Moccasin"

Yours looks bang on 

Got to keep the toes warm and feet safe from Lego and upside down plugs. . Thx.

You have got it spot on in the picture, exactly where mine is and where it was fitted at the factory as long as the previous owner who had the car for four years before me hadn't tampered with it.
 

Just needs the VW Badge to be satin black though - you can paint it if you can't get one.

Should add - as long as it's a tin top, the cabbys came with silver ones mainly I think.

It’s a tin top but it’s don’t like the black badge. Have one in the garage. I have grey wheels smoked front spots, lights and indicators so need to keep a bit of bling on the front to lift it a little or will be doing funerals in it next……

Having it from 4 years old - I’m jealous. You basically know the whole car history inside out and every minute detail. If you have kept all the documents up to date and receipts then based on GAP prices yours must be right up there with the top priced motors
