Car stereo help , what to buy?

Howdy folks I'm looking for a stereo for the cabby , I have a cd changer I want to put in the boot so it needs to be compatible with that. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks Ger

The cd Changers were made to work with a certain head unit. Manufacturers made it as difficult as possible to use other types. There was one different sort that used fm signal to broadcast through your radio.
You could go retro an get an old original blaupunkt - I'm not sure I'd part with any. They can be adapted to work with Bluetooth or have an input lead. Or again a ebay fm broadcast Bluetooth thingy that goes in cigarette lighter  so no wiring….
Today head units come with no cd or tape! deck. Just links with Bluetooth technology to smartphone. Again there are many retro style units with that stuff…
