Anyone ever come across D212JAE 1986 cc?

Hello all,

Just wondered if anyone has ever come across the 1986 cc mk1 golf 'D212JAE'.

Due to a lack of finances, I had to reluctantly sell the car back in 2010. It holds a lot of centemental value to us, one of which it being our wedding car…

We managed to trace the last couple of owners but the trail went cold, with it's last sighting being in a car dealership in Barry docks. We drove over to have a look at the time (about 2011), but the lead couldn't remember which dealership, so we trapsed around for the day with no avail.

I have since followed it's status on the DVLA…it stopped being MOT'd in 2012 and was not SORN for a number of years. I thought it may have been scrapped, but then it was registered SORN a couple of years ago, so that suggests it still exists?

It's a long shot, but just wondered on the off chance if anyone had any leads? We would love to get the car back in whatever condition it is in and would be so grateful for any info 🤗
