Has to be a tintop, will consider any colour, must have big block mounts and 3 doors. Gti model would be preferable but will accept others.
Have a 2k budget but will pay slightly more for a running taxed and mot'd example.
Very keen to get started so tell me what you have?

Would love to have a project but my baby girl came along and had to stop my project earlier last year :http://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/forum/index.php?page=topicview&id=your-mk1-golfs_2%2Fmk1-golf-gti-83smudger1980 said
I had this dilemma last year. Was looking for one converted already but couldn't find anything suitable so bought a decent shell and engine and am mid conversion now.
Wife will only allow me to have a complete one I spend too much time in the garage already

Congrats on the baby mate. I've got 2 of my own and had to give up hot hatches for a while after the first one was born
Cheers buddy, shes 2 months old on Thursday. Don't know where the times gone
Real shame to give up my project but in hindsight it was the right thing to do.

That's the best age before they can answer back and give you cheek Oh and time flies. My eldest is nearly 8 now and it still seems like yesterday I was cacking it in the delivery room.
Good luck with the search mate.

A rolling shell with fresh paint would be considered but cant imagine they come up that often.

We have a 20Vt for sale at the moment - the body is good but not mint - we can sort that though - see here http://vwgolfmk1.org.uk/forum/index.php?page=topicview&id=cars-for-sale_2%2Fmk1-golf-blue-4-door
Or we can do a conversion/project for you.
Cheers
