This Mk1 Golf GTI is a very clean example of a great little car and is great condition for the year.

It has a new hood with new headlining fitted about 18 months ago, a new exhaust a few months ago, new rear wheels bearings, a new bootlid (the old one had rust at the bottom), all the usual problems have been dealt with or are fine, the sills and front and rear valence are tip top, the fuel filler area is clean; it has loads of paperwork and has been regularly serviced.

It has the original VW badged alloy wheels but are in need of refurbishment; the tyres are great however and are not that old, I do have a spare set of wheels with nearly new tyres also available.

It's MOT runs out 4th August 2011 and is taxed until the end of August 2011.

It is a standard car apart from the guy before had it lowered; it looks great and handles well and is a stiffer ride than a normal MK1 Golf GTI.

I have been very fussy about getting everything working and all the electrics are fine, it has a new Sony Bluetooth CD radio player with JBL front speakers and a sub in the boot, the headunit has Ipod control and a hands free function to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth and use while driving hearing the sound through the speakers.

The bad bits:

There is a spot of rust around the screen, to repair properly I would imagine the screen will need to come out but have left it for now and just touched it in.

There is a bit of wear on the drivers seat, again a photo can be seen on eBay. The passenger and rear seats are lovely and the rears have seatbelts.

The clutch is quite high and while I have adjusted it a bit, I am not really sure how to do it, it may need further adjustment or possibly a new one, it does works fine though, and pulls really well.

This is a 1984 car and while it is in great condition for its age, it does have a few blemishes, but this has been a great car and really good fun to wiz around in, the only reason for selling it is because I need an estate car for my work and can't use this every day to lug all my tools around in. I will be very sad to see it go.

The price is £2000 ono. Feel free to call for more info 07968 449559
