V reg GLi Cabriolet for sale

Hi, I know I've not had much input into the site and that my welcome message said I was going to start a project on this car but due to a change in circumstances at work, I've decided to try and get a foot on the property ladder which means unfortunately both my vw's are going to make way for something cheap and possibly diesel :cry:

Anyway for sale is my V reg 1980 golf GLi cabriolet in silver with a black roof. I bought the car off my brother around a year ago when he moved down to London. I'm afraid a lot of the service history got lost when he moved but I do have some.

The car was fully restored around eight years ago, it has lowered suspension on boge shocks, 15" Smiths alloys, wax oiled underneath. It has a 1.8 digifant engine from a mk2 gti with an audi throttle body, magnex backbox and K&N panel filter. It also has a the brakes and master cylinder from a mk2 gti.

All the electrics work and has an amp and 6x9's on a stealth shelf. The bad points are that there are two tears on the creases of the roof and would require replacing, the is no rust that I am aware of except for were the drivers door catches slightly on the sill. Also there is a later dash in the car so I'm not sure of the actual mileage.

I've put everything on that I can think of and the car will be sold with 12months M.O.T and tax till march, if anyone is interested or would like pics then please p.m me, I'd be looking for around ?2500 but open to offers.
