S1 Golf Mk1 - Bagged, Splits, Old skoolness

Holy crap…
Not really sure what i'm doing to be fair even considering doing this but as I have uni and a career to think about, my mk1 may be up for sale… :dontknow:
I'm 19 now and its taken me 2 looong years to build and I have enjoyed every minute of it but there are other things im trying to focus on atm. I hope the new owner can do the finshing touches and give the car the recognition it deserves.

Very low mileage (Approx. 42,000) and good family owned history
Originally a 1.3 LS in Mexico Beige

The changes…

Engine/brakes/exhaust
Engine swap to low mileage 1.6 Scirocco GT engine fully stripped and rebuilt running mk2 gti gearbox, big bore system, k&n filter etc
Standard rebuilt brakes
Powerflow stainless exhaust system - mirror polished upswept biig bore pipe, sounds and looks awesome

Bodywork
MINT
Full bare metal respray in metallic gun metal (very very nice coarse flake metallic)
Arches rolled, pulled and panel beated for maximum wheel clearance
Rear Inner arches re-shaped and smoothed to suit new rear bench seat
Tailgate de-locked, de-wipered, de-badged and smoothed
All bumper holes removed and smoothed along with the rear tow eye and lower side trim holes

Suspension
Rayvern Air Ride Suspension kit, comprising - Rear struts & bags, tank (re-sprayed in colour code), compressor, solenoids, all air line and wiring, switches and gauges
German-Racing Coilovers on the front lowered by 100mm
The arches were built around the idea of running air ride and on full slam, the car sits perfectly on the arch.

Cali font Black & Yellow one off show plates (DOWN N OUT) (also have standard road legal and german pressed plates)

When I bought the car it was very very solid underneath and the bodywork was also in outstanding condition for its age with all period features in tact and original. It has been family owned and was rarely used (stored in a garage for 10 years!). The car has been very well looked after for all of its life.
I have barely used the car as for the duration of me owning it, I have been rebuilding it!

It has only just been taxed and M.O.T'd for the year and will have a full service prior to collection. I will also pay for a full professional valet and detailing on the car and it will be stored in a showroom.

Golf+ are awaiting my response on a feature and a PVW feature is also on the horizon. Since i finished it mid august, it has been to 2 shows where it took Runner-up in best watercooled and great response by many scene followers.
The amount of time and effort that has gone into this car is endless, i will be absolutely guttid to see it go
All that it needs is a show engine to compensate and a few personal touches (interior ) and this car really will be a show stopper.

I'm sure there are loads of things i've missed but the car really speaks for itself! :wink:

Also, anything mk1 related I have laying around amongst my collection will go with the car
