modified mk1 gti

this was to be my fairly sensible everyday car while i worked on my planned turbo 4wd monster, unfortunately made redundant couple of years ago and although i have tried to carry on with this its financially impossible. Enough of the sob story this was an unrestored with only 86000 on the clock mars red 83 gti when purchased. It now has an abf engine,low mileage mk3 8v gti g/box which gives 23mph per 1000 revs in top so makes for relaxed motorway cruising, also helps with fuel economy, heavy duty 16v new clutch assy, all new fuel pipes, new 16v m/cylinder ,9 inch servo, new flexy's, rear discs,  all new super/power flex suspension bush's, ?1200 worth of new tsr power steering, 6x14 steels, glass s/roof but dont be put of it actually brightens up the cabin,new filler pipe, i have modified the 16v t body to accept a throttle pot  and there is  probably more. all it needs is an after market ecu  megasquirt?. The car has run and i have driven it round the garden using a borrowed emerald ecu but that has now gone. this owes me much more than the asking price which is now ?1550. dont really want to break it.  cambridgeshire   NO LONGER FOR SALE
