Mk1 GTI Convertible going up for sale

unfortulately i am being forced to sell my mk1 Golf GTI Convertible
It will probably be goin on ebay and a few other places very soon but i thought i would place a topic on here first to see if anybody is interested as i would like it to go to a good home where someone can fix her up.

The car does need a little work, should not be masses of work though, had no rust that i had noticed untill recently, but a little surface rust has started to appear now that it has been standing for a while so could do with a respray, also needs the handbrake replacing along with the driver side front shock and the exhaust system needs replacing. Possible a few other little bits and bobs but not sure what

The roof does have 2 small tears but not too bad otherwise.

Well here are the details

1983 MK1 Golf GTI convertible
engine replaced with a 2.0 litre 8v GTI (out of an old seat ibiza i'm lead to believe)
lowered (not sure how much, just been told was lowered before i bought)
15" 6 spoke alloys

The car is parked at a friends at the moment so dont have all the details to hand but will try get the mileage etc and check if anything else i can spot that needs doing and will add to the post a.s.a.p

Please get in touch with any sensible offers, not sure how much i am lookin for at the moment but do want a decent price, as everyone on here will realise they are great cars and with a little tlc could be worth a lot.
