Description:  Great looking original Mk1 Golf Cabrio in grey.

Sadly, some chavs tried to steal my beloved Golf and in the meantime I've had to get a replacement (the insurance company kept me waiting for months)! I don't have the expertise or the time to do the repairs myself so I'm hoping an enthusiast will take over and get this great little car back on the road.

While trying to steal the car, the thieves slashed the roof and ripped out the ignition barrel. (The nearside headlight was stolen by some cheeky chappie at the scrapyard - enquiries are ongoing!) Surprisingly, no water has got in.

Before I bought this car, it had been off the road and garage stored for about 4 years. I've since replaced the radiator, alternator, distributor, radio aerial, ignition barrel and probably more that I can't remember. All the work was done by a VW specialist.

The cam belt was changed before I bought it (when the car had done 69,000 miles).

The interior is in really great nick. Only the drivers seat shows some wear in the usual places. The rest of the seats are mint! The door cards and dashboard etc are all mint too (with the exception of the glovebox which is loose). All the dials and the radio/cassette and speaker system work. Comes with 2 spare alloy wheels, original roof cover and genuine lovely old car aroma!

I know there's someone out there who will love this car and restore it to it's former glory. I'd be absolutely gutted to break it for parts, so please don't make me do it!
