1983 Mk1 Golf GTI Campaign Model in Helious Blue

I'll try to list everything possible to avoid wasted questions - please read all of the advert.

EXTERIOR

Helious Blue Paintwork which is very clean as seen in the photos, the bodywork itself is very straight with no rust or rot problems at all, no dents to the sides etc. The underside is very solid with no issues.

It has the factory fitted sunroof fitted and slides open with ease

The Pirelli Alloys are powder coated (not sprayed) and all in mint condition with as new Pirelli tyres.

The side trims have also been powder coated to match in black.

It has Armour door plates fitted to the handles

Twin headlight grill with red edge trim.

Garaged when not in use so not left out in the bad weather

INTERIOR

Again excellent condition for its age, no tears on the drivers seat bolster, all seats are very clean.

CD Stereo player fitted with the factory fitted speakers

It has an Immobiliser fitted with Installation Certificate

Factory fitted sunroof which opens and slides with ease

the onboard computer works as it should

the boot has been re-carpeted and looks brilliant, the wheel well has no rust problems and the spare is also a Pirelli Alloy with decent tyre.

The rear shelf is original with no stupid holes cut out for aftermarket speakers.

Recently serviced in February 2011

The Rocker cover, fan housing surround and timing belt housing have all been powder coated.

Runs and drives as it should, no problems starting at all

SUMMARY

This car has had over £2000 spent in the last 2 years alone, it has a stamped vw service book (5 stamps) some old MOT certificates and couple of old tax discs.

Receipts kept for over the years for thousands. The current Tax & MOT both run out in June 2011, it will have no problems passing the next one.

Classic car insurance - i am 40 years old and insurance is just over £100 fully comp.

Excellent condition all round and ready for the next owner, its a 28 year old car so please don't expect a new car, it runs drives like an old car does with character, gearbox is like most mk1 golfs, it has the odd rattle here and there but you know that looking at my advert.
