For sale: Golf Cabriolet 1989 Clipper - Black
Regretably it's time to sell my cabby. It's been a great car and I've enjoyed every minute of owning it but I can't afford to run two cars at the moment and start a new job in September on less money.
Golfy - A 1989 Black Clipper 1800 with Weber carb convertion and 120k miles
Recent work:
New hood about 12 months ago (Black mohair)
New rear window frame at same time
New clutch last year
New gear linkages last year
Rear drums, shoes and handbrake new late last year
New Kenwood CD/MP3 player
New Front JBL Speakers
All dash bulbs work!
New interior light
Features:
Very very good condition - most would say excellent!
14" BBS Alloys
AutoWatch Immobiliser
Smoked side indicators
Electric aerial (still to fit - Many thanks to Lawsy!)
Tax 12/08 and now 12 months MOT - passed this morning! (18th August)
Interior for a MK1 Golf is good. Carpets are good. There is wear to the bolster as expected but it's not too bad at all. Most annoying thing about the interior is that the passenger headrest doesn't quite match the other trim! It's a common trim option so would be easy to replace if it meant a lot to the new owner.
I'm based in Wiltshire - about 20 mins from Stonehenge /Salisbury /Warminster.
I've bound to have forgotten lots - please do drop me a line if you'd like more information!
A few pictures - I'll take some of the interior tomorrow!
Thanks all

Cheeses - A few observant people have pointed out that I have skillfully left out all mention of the price. Christ on a bike…

Cheers Steve!
I could chuck two extra doors in the back and cover the folding roof in tin foil - Would that help?
