Completely Original Mk1 Golf 1.8 GTi
The car is completely standard and has been very well looked after. I've just put 6 months tax on it and it has an MoT until January 2008.
Dojo Dubber can verify the quality of my car, its an absolute classic, completely unmolested and in very good condition. Still has original Blaupunkt radio/cassete which still works. Original VW key for the glove box (a nice touch) and excellent interior allround, the on board computer is in full working order.
The only modification I have made was getting a CAT1 alarm and immobiliser professionally fitted as I was forced to by my insurance company.
The only negative things to say about it is that there is a small chip in the paint of the sunroof at the front and there is no mat on the floor in the boot.
I am planning on selling it at GTi International on the Sunday most likely, but am open to serious offers before hand if you are really interested and can't wait.
I will be very sad to see this car go  it runs like a dream and holds a lot of sentimental value for me so please only contact me if you are serious about Mk1's and not if your planning on ragging it to death as its a true classic.
I'll post some pictures soon. If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask!
Many thanks,
Ben

I've had enough of working in the city behind a desk staring at screen all day long and I'm going travelling. I thought about keeping it in storage until I get back but honestly I'm not sure I'll ever come back, or at least how long I'll be (storage isn't free!) and I'll need the money…
You never know I may end up buying another one where ever I end up! If I do I'll be posting it on here straight away.
Its the best car I've ever had, takes me right back to my childhood when my mum and dad had one. The smells, the sounds, everything. Its going to be horrible watching someone else drive away in it.

I'm not around this weekend but could try and arrange something for the following weekend if you'd rather see it before GTi International.
Thanks guys,

I happen to be very busy I'll have you know, what with a new job, trying to find a new house and organise a rally and a ski season all at the same time! The only plus side of being so busy is that I dont have much time to go out which helps when your trying to save money because I'm skint!
Pictures shortly I promise although, it might have to be next weekend at this rate as this week is looking pretty hectic already!
Oh to be an unemployed bum like Do Jo Dubber……have I spelt your name right this time?

I took some pictures yesterday to show you all, however the internet is broken at my house so I figured I'd put them on a CD and upload them from work….but…my work PC's will not recognise either my USD memory stick or a CD in the CD Drive, talk about being too anal about stuff. Stupid Japanese bank….
So I currently have no way of uploading them. I will take the disc to a mates house and try and do it from there one night this week.
I wanted to take a few shots to post on here and ended up taking 85! It just so looked so beautiful all shiny in the sun…..I dont want it to go really  very upsetting.
Will let you all know if it goes tonight, what a sad way to start the week….

I'm thinking a white one this time, like the classic original one we saw at Worthersea Gurv, remember that one, quietly parked by the side of the road with all the Europop muppets looking at crazy slammed pearlescent monstrosities while it quietly sat there and stole the show.
This is on the top of my list of things to do upon my return to the UK in ???? years, whenever it is that I get back. Either that or I'll hunt one down where ever I end up.
More immediately, I will address the lack of photo's, even though its sold, I still want to put some up here to remember it by  i'll get on with fixing the internet at home…..
