Well, i have no idea what the car is currently worth.
So i havent a set price that im asking for it, I think the reserve is reasonable at 1,500 and will be happy with offers over that - as so much money has gone into buying and sorting out the engine alone so far.

I will listen to offers over that amount and if anyone has one i'd be happy with i might let it go to them.

What are everonye else asking for their 2L 16vs? (im not going to copy dont worry)

Hi ,Nice Motor!!! as you know you can never recoup the investment of time and money into your own projects, I lost over ?10k on a MK1 Cosworth powered escort(Before I saw the light!) in the early nineties,and now the time I have put into my current golf would never be compensated,I think your reserve is very fair ,a little low,but if you need to sell  its no good hanging out for a higher price,Good Luck and keep the faith!!!

thankyou for very kind words! its what i need at the moment.
well i'd be well over ?10,000, more nearer 15k, better off if i never had the golf, but did love it.
I had no idea what to set reserve at, so went with that, good news you think that is low hopefully it will reach that.
And to go to a good home (preferably someone on here who would know how to look after it and not just for the engine.)
