1990 MK1 Cabriolet in Moonstone Blue - PRICE SLASHED -OFFERS
PRICE SLASH - REDUCED TO ?1950 OVNO FOR QUICK SALE
Reluctantly for sale my 1990 MK1 Karmann Cabriolet GTI.
I've had her for 5 years but am shortly decamping UK for France so
sadly she has to find a new home. She's in excellent condition for
her age with absolutely NO RUST.
A definate head turner and in one of the best colours, IMHO.
Insurance approved Auto Watch Cat 1 Alarm fitted
MOT to Jan 2008 and 6 months tax.
160k miles but you wouldn't know it.
Bits I've replace over the time I've had her:
Reconditioned head + cam belt etc, fitted earlier this year.
Blue Mohair Hood
Seats re-upholstered in original fabric
Cross Hairs Headlights
New Disks and Pads
Fuel Filler Neck
Water Pump
All Hoses
Oil Cooler
Radiator
Exhaust center box
Remus back box for that discrete but enjoyable exhaust note.
The bumpers and skirts were resprayed last year.
I have a replacement deep pile carpet set as the front one is showing
it's age a little. Dead easy job to fit. Also have the original steering wheel.
The bad points:
Not much to say in all honesty.
The suspension has been lowered and stiffened so the ride can be a bit firm for some.
The OZ wheels a little scuffed but nothing too bad. One center cup is missing but I think you can get replacements.
MFA doesn't work properly, MPG gives duff reading and you can't change the clock
time but other readings OK.
If you indulge in racing starts from the lights then it's possible to catch
out 2nd gear synchro but driven normally you'd probably never notice
it. A very common weakness on MK1's and not really a problem or sign
of impending doom !
She has just been valeted
Location is Colchester.
Feel free to email me for more information.
