Hi,

I have owned my 1800 cc Mk1 for the last 14 years. Initially I completely restored it to near concours condition - including an engine rebuild - and drove it as my daily driver for 10 years.

Since 2005, I have had little chance to drive it - so the car has been stored in my garage.  As a result, it is currently looking a bit tatty on the lower rear panel and near side front wing. However there is no rust on the inner wings, spare wheel well, filler neck, bulk head and A pillars etc - and the car is far too good to scrap, as it would be a fairly easy restoration.

It is a good example of an original car that has not been messed with or doctored - including original interior, in good condition. Despite  4 years of sitting idle, it still starts and runs.
