Description: I'm putting my Cabriolet up for sale. Its just not used enough along with life changes. Its 1.5 and in Baikal Blue. It is a running project. Not so much driving at the moment though as the gear selector isn't selecting all gears. It needs no structural welding but does need cosmetic bits doing. Mechanically it's all been done and replaced. New discs and pads, shocks. Rear braking system, drums, shoes, cylinders, flexi pipes. Under car fuel lines have been replaced. Engine was replaced at some point and it had a new Weber TLP carb (2015), though any reference to the replacement engine is missing from the paperwork. Hood needs replacing. Interior is in blue but it's again in need of doing. Carpets are blue and currently not fitted. Upper and lower strut brace. Bottoms of the wings need repairs but see below for more I formation. The ends of the top slam panel and edges by the headlamps need repairs but there is a spare front end. The boot lid is suffering from rust at the bottom but see below. The rear valance/corners may need repairs. It's currently sat on Mk2 Golf rims.
Spares include bootlid, front wings and spare metal to repair current ones. Rear window and frame, frame requires work. A set of 4 Snowflake alloy rims painted to match but require new tyres. 2 x front hood catches, rear axle mounts for refurbishment, exhaust downpipe. Original rear bumper. I can remove the towbar if not required. I do also have a set of non original gauges for the centre console I can include. Other smaller parts. Message me if you want more information. It is a project and I'm open to sensible offers. If you don't want some of the spares I can adjust the car price to reflect this. It's probably better collected on a transporter. I'm looking for a Mk3 Automatic Golf Cabriolet or a Mk2 Golf Automatic.
