I've owned 'Gary' since around 2006-ish after buying him from my brother. V5 shows date for last issue which is when we moved 2019. If I can find the first one I'll update the post.
I have a lot of service history including the original owners manual.
He was sat in storage for a number of years due to work and moving around, and saw the light of day again in 2016 - new fuel filter and battery later, the little star started no issues and took us down to BugJam.
When my brother bought him, he had been 90s-fide with some garish chrome interior bits, chrome filler cap, stuck on GTi arches, cherry bomb exhaust, 4 lamp grill and wheels not to my taste. I've not done much to him as I've not been able to make my mind up as to whether to go back to stock or not. An owner before my brother also fitted a 1.8 k-jet I believe although not 100% sure.
Anyway, after the brief history - A couple of years ago I decided to take Gary back to stock and removed the chrome interior bits, 4 lamp grill, chrome filler cap and engine, but I haven't got any further with him.
As I've also got a caddy and a tin-top I'm working my way through, I've decided to pass Gary on to someone who can do him justice and look after the old boy.
The roof has a couple of splits, but the original tonneau cover is present. The engine and k-jet system are missing, gearbox will go with him. Interior is all present (if not necessarily fitted). Body work isn't bad, there are a few bubbles popping up, but I've not been able to push any holes in anywhere.
I've attached a few pictures of different areas, happy to send more if people want them, also happy for viewing.
