1.6 Gti Project

Hi there,

Am looking to sell my original mk1 as i have just been offered a different one.

Was stripping it out as a trackday car but as i will be doing the same to the next one there should be pretty much everything to turn it back into a road car if required.

Details are:
Clocks are only showing 36k, trying to get this verified by the previous owners but from the fact that it has been a manx car most of its life it quite likely true. all original bits are there including the tarantula alloys with decent tyres. The car does need some welding around the rear beam mounts and also the drivers door hinge as the bottom mount has come away. also has a area of rust along the sides of the roof thanks to a leaky sunroof. Would be a useful car for spares of if someone wanted a bigger project. unfortunately i dont have a garage so its a bit much for me hence the decision to change.
