wire thingy on the soft top

i have a 1987 cabrio clipper. hood is new from 3/4 yrs ago but the wire round the edge has snapped. any ideas of its official name /part and where i can get a spare

you can get the new up the vw garage i got some last year cant remember how much but think they were about 9 quid each there called side tension cables.
