where do i start.......?

Hi everybody,

Ive just got a mk1 golf convertible, its been kept in haulage for the past year and has not had any attention at all. Its in really bad condition and is not even driveable. This is my first car and i have no idea where 2 start!! Alot of people are telling me 2 just get rid of it, but i love ot 2 bits, and i know that it can b amazin once its done. WHERE DO I START?????   :dontknow:

hello, welcome . sounds like you have a challenge on your hands , but stick with it and you will get a great car come summer. where are you based ? any photo's of your project would be good. does your car start and drive ? if you can drive it and do bits to the bodywork when you can. i am sure plenty of people on here will offer good advice. good luck.

Hi and welcome! 1st off get it MOT'd. As mentioned, you can do plenty of work whilst your usingthe car but you need to know its safe, starts and stops!

Get some pics up and we'll give you as much diagnosis as we can!
