U.S. spec front lights and grill

The sort that look like these:


Where the indicators don't protrude into the wings, but still with the rectangular lights.

My question is, where can I get this set up from, and will I be able to fit it all to my UK spec Golf?

you need a front panel as they wont fit a uk spec one ( unless you mod it) and a grill.  and for some reason i think you may need the wings too but dont qoute me on that one.

I don't mind attempting some mods to the bonnet shut panel.

I wondered about the wings, but there seem to be a couple of variations, the ones like this (below) will definitely need different wings.


And the 2 in the first post look like they have very similar wings to UK spec.  :?

Try asking on vw vortex. Theres a few people on there who have gone the other way (US square lamp front to euro round lamps) so im sure it's do-able. Be warned though, the shipping will be expensive, thats what put me off doing it myself.

Not sure if this helps, as I am a floppy top owner, but I saw a G plate jetta to day and it had the square lights etc on it. Would bits from this fit or would it I guess, be a Mk2 component, thought some bits may fit. I am sure the more knowledgeable out there will set this straight.

The early first pics above show US built Rabbits which may have a different front structure that grille fastens to. Ask US owners for detail pics.  You could use a Jetta Mk1 front maybe??

You will need the front panel, grille and lights, if you have a round light your wings will fit, no problem.
