Tax disc down ventlation slot!!

MK1 GTI… tax disc fell down into the windscreen ventilation slots!! Any idea how I can get behind the dash?? Or is it easier to apply for a duplicate!!

Any help appreciated..

Turn the ventilation on full, and close the windows of the car???
