Sunroof leaking

Hi i have a 82 mk1 gti, i am getting water in the foot weld behind the drivers side. I have been told that this happens when the drain chanel in the sunroof gets blocked is there a way to fix it and is what i say right?

Yes it does sound right, assuming you have a steel sunroof then check the drainage holes in the front corners. Water getting trapped here will eventually rot out the whole sunroof and roof section.

Not sure on the best way to clean out the drain holes I guess a compressed air blast or long flexi wire.

the best way is a long flexy wire then blast with air i did the same and if you dont allready no at the back were the drain line,s run in to the botton panel by the bumper , this is all so were they rot .so i got the pipe and made them longer and they now come out the botton of the car . i hope that sounds ok
