where the two screws are at either side of the dash near the doors, should be some type of felt. Its only a small strip but could make all the difference if yours are missing? Another favorite place is the intrument panel screws are often missing- you can't see these untill the whole surround is removed????

If it still sqeaks after tightening everything, then it is the five clips at the top of the dash, under the windscreen. They aren't are great design, and sqeaking is inevitable as the car ages.

To sort this out, buy about 1 metre of fuel hose at the motor factors, and push it between the dash and the windscreen rubber - it will press down the upper edge of the dash, and silence the clips' sqeaking.

Tips:
Ask for samples of different sizes of hose to determine which one you need (it varies by individual car) - you might also find that you need thinner sections of hose in the middle of the dash, than out near the doors.

Only buy black rubber hose, as it becomes "invisible" when fitted - cloth-covered hose will look terrible.

If the hose has writing on it, try to ensure that you fit it with the writing hidden (or sandpaper it off)

And, just in case you're feeling particularly stupid: only use new fuel hose - any old stuff will stink your car out with a stale fuel smell!
