If you have been driving it can be the number plate lights not seating onto the body. It could be the rear lamps loose or incorrectly fitted drawing in water or even if your number plate is screw fixed, those holes too. Or a combination of these. One last place is a crack in the rear screen rubber seal or maybe a bubble of rust lifting it up??
(Not implying you have a rusty car though  )

The rubber boot seal would have to very bad to leak as it sit's on a metal ridge which stops water.
Those two rubber seals in which the electrical wire go are tricky! I've never done it but how would you change them? is there a connector inside them?
One good way of checking leaks is to seal with vaseline were you the think the leak is, if it stops you have found it and can sort it properly.
My old car had gone bad where the stupid front screen wind deflectors were and vaseline sorted that.
And what else are you going to do with Vaseline anway?
