rust round windscreen

im gonna be buying my first mk1 soon and have been offered one that needs a bit of work which is what i wanted but im not sure about some bits ,  there is some rust around the bottom of the windscreen and im not sure if this is a repairable point or not ,do they do a repair panel ? and are parts easy to get for the early small light golfs? any help appreciated

If you can see the rust around the screen then you can depend that when you take the screen out it will look ten times worse. I always avoid cars with any rust around the screen. Cheers.

If you could get some pics that would help… mine had rust along the lower edge of the screen, is it in the corner area?

repair panels are available for that area, wasn't too bad to repair either
