To be fair any rot is a problem!
it all depends on where it is, and a bit of rot may well be a lot of rot when you start looking into it….
I had a small hole in the driver rear inner wheel arch. Once I got into it the whole inner arch panel need replacing as the tin worm was everywhere.
Same thing happened with a scab on the rear vallence, the hole got worse and has had to be plated!
A word of warning dude, if you have to buy any pattern panels or repair panels don't expect them to fit like the original!

Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.

unfortunately you need to dig deep and find good metal. once you have that, then you can start to re build and restore!
If you happen to find evidence of filler, grid or wire brush it out, it tends to be used to cover up rot. I'd like to know who did the bodge on my car and kick them in the ……. :x
Good luck with the car mate.

Like jelly said, anything is possible.
It may look bad, but once you get your head into the job everything will come together. I only new the very basics when I started min two weeks ago. I managed to plate a gap left by a poor fitting panel on monday!
Panel wise, try either Big Boys Toys or Crazy Quiff for them. It you opt to have someone do the work, make sure they will do the job as you want and not leave it a mess.
