Passengers side door completely stuck closed.
I'm trying to get the passengers side door open on a 2dr Tin top and it's completely stuck closed. Obviously there's something gone completely wrong inside the latch.
How on earth can I get it open or get the bolt out of the B pillar?
The handle is still attached but the lock seems to be attached to some sort of sensor or something but doesn't appear to be a dead bolt or anything like that.
I'm stumped.
The seats and carpet are coming out today to try and figure it out but I may need some help with this on.

I managed to finally get it sorted. The lock just seemed to be mashed up. I haven't had a chance to look at it properly yet but it's definitely not fully functional. I did it by a combination of turning the key both ways (which made all sorts of chrunchy noises), and reaching inside the door and working the mechanism back and forward until after much clicks, clunks, and chrunches it eventually gave up and opened.
At least I'm another stage further on. I feel like I've achieved something.

Nice one mate..
I did teh same in my caddy van, then eventually the barrel just drops out, door still locks, but only from inside
means i have to open passenger, lean over, unlock, then walk round…

It's such a pain in the backside when anything goes wrong with any of the locks.
On my mates MK2 the locks on all but the drivers door is dodgy so we just bought a ful lock kit on ebay and we'll change everything to nice new shiny functional locks. That's only half the battle with that sodding car though.
