New arches and repspray preperation

got my rear arches from euro car parts.. not the best quality but for pattern parts they do the job, nice and cheap to

you can legally drive without bumpers as long as there's no sharp edges/mounts sticking out

you planning to drive it to the bodyshop so they can just blow over with paint? you'd need to sand the car down (window out job) if you want a good result, personally I'd remove the wings too so the scuttle area gets sprayed properly too

yeah i think you may have commented on it..its under my 83 driver in the resteroation section. what kind of sandpaper grade should i be using?

I used the following grade of sand paper on mine (but sprayed it myself)

prep before primer - 800 grit
sand primer down - also 800, but I should have used 1200 really
sand top coat - 1200+ lots of soapy water, but should have used 2000.. or some G3 cutting compound and a mop
