Need a respray

My car is now starting to pick up a bit of rust and think it is time to get it sorted.
Wanted to know where I can get a full strip down and respray in the Watford area and how much should I expect to pay?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm not from your area so can't advise on a suitable bodyshop but from experience and having seen a pal get his done recently I would recommend you do as much of the stripping down of trim etc that you can and label the parts and fixings up. I tend to find bodyshops are prone to losing parts. If you lend a hand then the price should come down too.
I had mine resprayed with all the doors off, sunroof out, glass out, new rear arches, wheel well repaired for ?900 a couple of years ago but of course I did a fair bit of stripping/rebuilding myself.

Mines going in soon to my mate and is costing ?500 but for that i will have stripped it and done all the filler and prep work myself!

I will also be helping mask up and do final prep etc

If your strapped for cash try spraying the car yourself. I've sprayed a few cars now and is a lot easier and cheaper than you think.

Bodyshops IMO are a load of rip off artists.

when your stripping the trim consider stripping everything from interior bar the dash. strip the doors as well. take out the windows as well cos then you can get it will be sprayed up under the seals and rubbers. it also means that who ever is spraying it doesnt have to mask off around the window and is cheaper again.
i did it to my car be for i got it sprayed and is diff worth the extra time spent. i even went as far as stripping the engine bay.
good look with how ever far you strip it.
if you want to know more about how far to take the stripping pm me
cheers,

its worth doin the prep yourself, stand to save yourself a bundle. unless ofcourse the cars a mess then prob best to leave it to the shop, but if its just little dents then you should manage no problem! definatley best to strip it yourself as us body blokes can lose bits every now and again, not that i do!!!

To be honest, if you're stripping the interior take the dash out too. Did mine last week and it's so easy to do, saves getting any overspray on it!
