mohair hoods?

Anyone got a cream/white one? I've been told by a couple of people that they dont do the mohair in those colours…it has to be vinyl. Just wondering if anyone knows any different??

Yes they do! dont know where but i have seen them. IMO Mohair look nicer but only if your prepared to clean it daily. Vinyl is more practical for me ops:

I've only looked on a couple of website's people have recommended (yorkshire based) I got a quote from a yorkshire company…?350 for cream vinyl, which i thought was a bit on the steep side. He was the guy who told me they didnt do mohair. I ideally want mohair cos i know what vinyl goes like.mine's vinyl at the mo and its gone hard and nasty  

i dont mind cleaning…in fact i enjoy it!  

the only reason im looking at yorks is cos i live there at the mo, but im from staffs so would prob be better if i could find one in the midlands.

I have never seen a white mohair hood? my black one is really nice, i dont really have to clean it either? just sponge it once in a while, if they do them? a white mohair hood will get very grubby quickly i would think as it will hold and dirt in the fabric? a white cabby with a dark blue or black hood would look better and stay looking good for longer imo, mines been on 3 years and is still tip top, taken 2 minutes ago! how shiney is that paint 8) i got the reciept for the hood and its was 350 fitted from london based company called soft-tops 02086706160 dunno if they still around :dontknow:

dont go mohair, they were never supplied originally.
vinyl is good and longlasting if looked after and fitted right

hmmm i see….well i was thinking about a red one. i saw one once on a white cabby and its looked the dogs danglies….but, mine's a triple white, so id quite like to keep it that way.

Another new white vinyl one will still last you ages, especially if its looked after :wink:  is your car garaged and is it used all year round? thats what i would be thinking if i was gonna pay ?350 out! then again anything white is hard to keep perfect!! red would look good too, just to be different? i think blue or black are more practical colours though, if you were going for the black or blue i would defo recommend the mohair, it just looks better and wears better than vinyl ones, een if its not original its an improvement in my opinion

no my car isnt garaged unfortunately. i definatley dont want black or blue. its either red or white i think  

i think red would look ace, and it'd be loads easier to keep clean cos its that darker red im after…almost maroon i think….

my original idea was to get the hood in red, and get the seats done in white leather with red piping or summat to match.

then again, id be losing the triple white, but i suppose there's plenty around. see my dilemma? it also doesnt help that im female

Red would look good on a white car, be a nice contrast, and even if you wanted it changed back "original" its only a white hood away, there is a guy on ebay does a wine red hood and a few other colours for ?175 but thats not fitted, any decent trimmer could do it though

THATS the colour. it was wine red. i think it'd look a bit different.
