MK1 Cabriolet roof

 I have a mk1 cabriolet 83' model. The roof is white and I would like to know if I could some how spray it black. It is like a rubbery vinyl. STD roof. Someone please help.

Anything's possible but this is probably NOT a good idea.

you used to be able to get a product called vynilcote, a spray on paint for vynil plastics. How this would fair on a roof I am not sure, I guess with putting the roof up and down, it may crack and peel.

You could see about getting a new one, probably save you the agrro in the long run, plus if you become a member then you get a discount with car hoods northern.

It is possable to paint your hood, there is a vynal dye that you can get.

Never used it but my old man says it's good
