Help with BBS body kit

I have just purchased a 1982 golf gti which came with a BBS body kit but i have plans to sell it, untill somebody just mentioned that these came factory fitted by vw on some models, does anybody no if this is true?

Not sure if that's true and to be honest I doubt it.  Zender made some parts but don't think there was a "bbs" model mk1 golf.

Welcome to the site though mate.  It's your car and I'd safe if you want to change it then go for it.  Have you got any pics for us?  Welcome aboard  :wink:

It may be the case that the BBS body kit was a dealer option rather than factory fitted. Hopefully others can confirm. This link may be useful - although it mainly mentions the BBS alloy wheels, there is a reference later about the kit being dealer fitted :
