HEAD LINING

Hi All,

I am a bit of a ghost visitor to this fantastic site..I have a MK 1 Campaign Helios Blue dream..

Just a quick question does anyone know where I can get & have a fitted
a Genuine VAG roof lining fitted as mine has been butchered by a previous idiot owner…I know I dont appear much on this site but any help would be appreciated.

Might try GPc for a new headlining.  Otherwise may have to make one yourself - material is available from Martrim for about ?30

I've been after a headlining for a while and got the advice on this site to try volkswarenhaus that are perfect for the mk1.

Also, a guy called 'alexh' bought headlining material from Martrim and then got his mum to make them for him and cost him about ?50 in material.

I'm just waiting for the good weather before I try replacing my headlining.

I have a headlining kit still sat in the box.  The material is as close a match as you could hope for.  I got it from the german company mentioned above for around 150euros.

There not original, but MJ interiors do a new headling for about ?75. I havent seen one but im told they are very good. I'll be ordering one soon.  The phone number for mj is 01274 533370. good luck

I bought and have installed a new headlining from MJ, they come in exactly the right material and have all the stitching lines in the right place. It is still a bit of a pig to do but it is well worth it makes the car like like new.
Come and have a look if you want I'm only in Chester, suppose it deopends where you are in North wales

Hi MK1 in bits!!

 I'm only in wrexham! I'd love to pop down and have a look! I'm always interested to see other mk1's, I'm hoping to buy my headlining at the end of the month, so any advice would be very useful!  Where in chester are you?

I could do with a new headlining on my Golf clipper, where is the guy that you got to do yours? Im in Chester.
