gti bodykit removal - help!

Hi guys, Made a start today on stripping down my recently owned GTI cabrio. Started by flushing the engine out and refilling, repairing a couple of broken pipes on the way. Then made a start with the bodykit removal as I want to start on the rust etc at the weekend. Got the front bumper and grille off no probs, but the gti plastic arches are a bugger - the screws are rusted and wont take with the screwdriver. Any suggestions on how to get these out as the arches are in mint condition and I don't want to break them if possible?
I've tried a little WD-40 which didn't help and am thinking I may have to drill them out?

Use an angle grinder to take the top of the screw off

Hi, I've tried the angle grinder today and it's too hard as the arch is a curve and the screws are too deeply screwed if that makes sense? Also it kicks out a load of sparks which isn't too sensible given the age of the car and the chance that there may be a fuel leak somwhere!I even tried to drill out the screws but have got no where - any other tips as I can feel the arches are rusty and will need some attention! Other than that the car is slowly getting stripped down bit by bit!

Thanks for your help guys

Have you tried drilling the screws heads off? Not really sure of many other options if the screwheads are gone

yeh I did try this, but I don't think I was using the correct drill piece as it wouldn't go through the screws. I think I'll try and get a new drill piece this weekend that is designed for metal and try one final time before I loose it. I've got to remove the panels as I can feel rust under them on the wheel arches and will be preparing the body work for a respray in the early part of the summer hopefully!
Thanks for the help guys - I will keep you posted, unless anyone has any other tips for removing the screws!
